Privacy Policy

This notice covers namemystery.com, the NameMystery app for iPhone and iOS (Apple App Store id493619348), and the NameMystery app for Android (Google Play package com.namemystery.namemystery). The app turns a name into six classic numerology readings, deeper book numbers, and parlor divinations. There is no account.

What stays on your phone

The first, middle, and last names and profiles you save stay in the app’s local storage on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device (UserDefaults on iOS; local SharedPreferences on Android). All numerology numbers, planetary essays, card draws, casts, and palm studies are calculated entirely on your device. We do not receive those names, and we do not run a server or cloud database for them. Deleting a profile or uninstalling the app removes them from your device.

The app also keeps a few local notes for itself on your device, such as which profile is active, whether sound effects are enabled, whether your one-time Parlor unlock is active, and whether you have declined a rating prompt. Those stay on your phone too.

In-App Purchases & Restore

If you choose to unlock the full Velvet Parlor or tap Restore Purchases, the transaction is processed directly by Apple (via StoreKit / App Store on iOS) or Google (via Google Play Billing on Android). We do not receive or store your credit card, billing address, or payment credentials.

What you choose to send

Email: Tapping contact/email in the app or on this website opens your mail client addressed to app@namemystery.com. We receive that message only if you send it, and we use your email address and message solely to reply and assist you.

Share: Tapping Share in the app opens your device’s system share sheet (iOS Activity Sheet or Android Share Sheet). The reading text goes only to the destination app or contact you pick. We do not receive a copy.

Rate: Tapping Rate opens the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. That request goes directly to Apple or Google, not to us.

What we do not do

• No user accounts, registration, or sign-in.
• No third-party advertising SDKs, and no use of Apple’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or Google’s Advertising ID (AAID).
• No analytics or behavioral tracking of the names or readings you view.
• No sale, rental, or sharing of personal information with third parties or data brokers.

namemystery.com describes the NameMystery iOS and Android apps. Name numerology readings are performed only inside the mobile apps on your device; this marketing site does not collect or process the names you enter in the app.

Like nearly all web servers, our web host may maintain standard, short-lived server access logs (such as IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp, and requested path) strictly for security, abuse prevention, and basic operational reliability.

Pages on this website load display typefaces from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address and standard browser request headers when those font files are fetched.

Children’s Privacy

NameMystery and this website are general-audience tools for reflection and entertainment and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Notice

If this notice changes, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes with it.
